Since 1998, when he migrated from the island of St. Kitts to the state of New York, Troy D. Southwell has embarked on a journey that has allowed him to garner decades of experience as a servant of God and a highly-respected financial services expert.

Whether it was in his service to God, or through his work in the banking industry, Troy always demonstrated an aptitude for leadership. Throughout his fifteen (15) year tenure at Citibank, he excelled at each of his banking roles and within a short period, he was promoted to Bank Manager. 

​

Within his first six (6) months as Branch Manager of the Yonkers branch, Troy successfully and singled-handedly transformed the branch from a low and failing branch into one of the highest-ranked branches in the Westchester area. Quite notably, Troy was one of Westchester South's Elite Sellers, earning six (6) consecutive Citistar Awards as a top producer for Citi. He also attained a Citistar Service Support Award: an honor given in recognition for his outstanding customer service.

Troy’s capacity for inspirational leadership and his professional expertise did not go unnoticed. And so, over the years, greater doors of opportunity have been opened to him. Having moved on from Citibank, in 2015 Troy expanded his professional horizons and transitioned to Cluster Branch Manager and Vice President at HSBC. And as of 2022, he now holds the title of Director of Talent Acquisition at Beanstalk Academy.

But while he is proud and grateful for his many professional accomplishments, there is nothing that Troy values more than his service to the Lord and his dedication to his family.

​

Since giving his heart to the Lord at the age of 19, Troy has served the Kingdom of God tirelessly and in the spirit of humility. Stirred by his hard work and his unwavering dedication to Mount Carmel Pentecostal Church, Inc. (MCPC), leaders, Pastor Judith and Elder Moulton Esdaille, bestowed upon Troy the title of Minister in July of 2015.

Minister Troy, not being one to think lightly of the responsibilities handed to him, thrust himself deeply into his ministerial duties. In doing so, his ability to deliver the word of God in a soul-stirring manner —which had lain dormant for years,—was soon unveiled. And it wasn’t long before he discovered his gift for motivating and inspiring others, in addition to his proficiency in addressing financial matters of the Kingdom. Consequently, Minister Troy has become very instrumental in rallying the Mount Carmel’s leadership, members and friends into fundraising endeavors which all have the same result: substantial sums of money collected to fund worthy causes. 

​

While Minister Troy’s success in these endeavors can be attributed to his financial prowess, anyone who has seen him host a fundraising event or a concert knows that much of it has to do with his ability to make his audiences laugh uncontrollably. And with other ministries, organizations and companies taking notice of his ability to sway audiences into action through his gift of humor, Minister Troy’s repertoire has quickly grown to include: Motivational Speaking, Conference Hosting, Counseling, Fundraising, Event Hosting and Emceeing. Additionally, he serves as a member of MCPC’s board of trustees where his insight has aided in the ministry’s growth and expansion.

Many have applauded Minister Troy for his outstanding career and ministerial achievements but he in turn gives glory to the Lord and gratitude to his mom Deslyn Liddie and his sister Cerene Southwell, who were uncertain of the outcome of this drastic move, but believed in him, and always gave their full support. His leap of faith proved fruitful, because he soon met his lovely wife Carissa Southwell who is his biggest fan and supporter. He thanks the Lord for his in-laws, Pastor and Elder Esdaille who he affectionately refers to as Mom and Dad since they have always treated him as their own son. They are his support system in NY and provide mentorship and covering. With the encouragement and support of his extended family and friends, Troy continues to achieve great heights.
